RETIREMENT
Yes, the day will come when you get to lay down the
heavy burden of your multiple careers -- wife, mother, member of the
workforce. That day will come. But will you be ready for it. If you've
worked steadily, you might be able to draw between $1000 and $2000 a
month from Social Security, assuming you live until age 67 or 68. If
you haven't worked steadily, your Social Security benefits will be
reduced accordingly. Assuming you get the big payoff, say $2000 a
month, can you live off that amount?
If you don't think you can, or you don't think your
benefits will be that great, then maybe, just maybe, it's time to
begin serious retirement planning. Our goal is not to tell you how to
do it, but to provide resources that will teach you the basics. What
you don't want to do is what many women do, stick the money in a low
interest checking account and hope that by some miracle, it will grow
into a nest egg.
You've had to educate yourself through all prior
stages of life; it's time you begin the "retirement
planning" education process. Check out the resources at these

we cover it.
We're still under construction, but we have two new
